The Museum of Urban Arts is a New York State Museum and a 501c3 non-profit educational corporation, accredited by the New York State Department of Education's Board of Regents, since 2017. The Museum was founded on April 29, 2016 and has hosted events, classes and training in the community, in all aspects of the arts and business.
Our team at the Museum of Urban Arts "Team MOUA", is dedicated
to serving as advocates to the arts community. Team MOUA provide
artists and entrepreneurs with business trainings, career assistance
and access to creative spaces.
MOUA hosts artist residencies, providing mentorship, and assistance to artists. MOUA allocates donations received from Materials for the Arts to a many artists. Artists receives canvases, materials, equipment, arts supplies and much more. At the Museum of Urban Arts, we strive to empower artists to evolve in their craft, establish their business, assist with their brand. and establishment of their evolving art collection.
The Museum of Urban arts proudly facilitates a series of dynamic rotating mural wall spaces. This public art project provides a flexible and welcoming positive platform for artists to unleash their creativity. MOUA is not only beautifying neighborhoods with artists, but also reducing vandalism on private properties by providing these public art walls.
Our team at the Museum of Urban Arts, creates unique immersive arts and cultural educational enrichment experiences for community members of all ages, levels of learning and creativity. At MOUA we curate community arts events, hosting a multitude of Urban Arts classes and activities, performances and exhibitions year-round programming, featuring both renowned and emerging artists, worldwide.
All exhibitions, activities, trainings, creative workshops and art panel discussions are offered both virtually and in person for free to the community. Programming features arts industry professionals from art galleries, museums, private collectors, art brokers, business entrepreneurs, renowned artists, special guest speakers, mentors, media and more.
The museum hosts programming in all aspects of the arts: painting, music, dance, art therapy, community gardening/sustainable living, agricultural arts, art markets, music and mural festivals, after school programming senior and disabled adults activities.
The Museum of Urban Arts acts as a community partner to various organizations, artists and business owners, managing all aspects project planning, curation, as well as a multitude of neighborhood beautification / public art projects installing sculptures, large scale murals and painting along with the community
